A lady with unusual cause of breathlessness

Abstract

A 76 years old lady is admitted to the hospital with severe breathlessness, vomiting and upper abdominal pain for last 2 days. She has a past medical history of hiatus hernia, oesophagitis, hypertension and lung nodules for which she is under surveillance. According to her daughter, she had become very breathless and was unable to retain anything that she is eating or drinking for the last 24 hours. Subsequent investigations reveal an unusual cause of breathlessness.
